The Group is one of the largest integrated coal mining groups in Indonesia, comprising PT Adaro Indonesia ("Adaro"), PT Indonesia Bulk Terminal Limited ("IBT"), and Coaltrade Services International Pte Limited ("CTI"). The Group operates (through Adaro) one of Indonesia's largest coal mines in Kalimantan; manages (through IBT) a major coal port terminal in South Kalimantan; and is also engaged (through CTI) in coal trading and related activities in Singapore. Adaro coal, trademarked internationally as envirocoal, is exceptionally clean with 0.1% sulfur, 1.0% ash and low nitrogen, and meets stringent international emission standards.

In June 2005, we acquired (in conjunction with two of RimAsia's strategic LPs and a group of financial investors) a 100% controlling interest in the Group at a reported cost of approximately US$950 million.
